Anyone searching for the best Power BI agency mostly finds lists of agencies that put themselves at the top. So we do it differently: an alphabetical overview with no ranking — RiverFlows appears honestly in the list itself — plus the selection criteria that really matter: does the agency cover the whole journey from data source to management, who becomes owner of the model and workspace, and are the prices transparent (indicatively €3,000–€20,000 per scenario, see What does a Power BI dashboard cost?). With those criteria and five fixed questions you can compare agencies on substance.

How do you choose a Power BI agency?

Select on four points: whether the agency covers the whole journey (connecting data sources and building the data model, not just visualisation), what happens after delivery (management and ongoing development, or a dashboard that grinds to a halt the moment a source changes), transparency about prices (indicative prices per scenario instead of 'on request') and ownership — the model and the workspace should live in your environment, not in the agency's. Indicative prices: roughly €3,000–€8,000 for a dashboard on one source and €8,000–€20,000 for multiple sources with a data model (see What does a Power BI dashboard cost?).

This page is not a ranking: there is no 'best' agency, but there is a best match for your size, sector and the rest of your systems landscape. Below are Dutch agencies with a visible Power BI offering, listed alphabetically, with factual information from their own websites. RiverFlows appears in the list itself — we state that honestly.

The questions to ask every agency

Five questions that make the difference visible. One: who connects the data sources and builds the data model — you or us? Eighty percent of the work sits there, not in the visualisation (see the term data model). Two: in whose environment will the dashboard live and who owns the model and workspace? Three: what does it cost in licences — Power BI Pro costs €12.10 per user per month when paid annually, excluding VAT (Microsoft, 2026) — and has that been calculated for our number of viewers? Four: what happens when a source changes — is management included in the proposal? Five: can we see an existing dashboard of yours, including the data model behind it?

Be wary of proposals that jump straight to visuals: a pretty dashboard on a shaky model is precisely why many BI projects grind to a halt after six months.

What does a Power BI project cost?

Indicatively: €3,000–€8,000 for a dashboard on one source, €8,000–€20,000 for multiple sources with a data model and €20,000 or more for enterprise custom work — plus licences (Power BI Pro €12.10 per user per month; Microsoft, 2026) and optional maintenance. The full breakdown is in What does a Power BI dashboard cost?; you can work it out for your own numbers with the free Power BI cost calculator.

Compare agencies on total cost over the first year (build plus licences plus management), not on the build price alone — that is where the surprises are.

In short

  • There is no 'best' Power BI agency; select on completeness (sources + data model + management), ownership and transparent prices.
  • This overview is alphabetical, not paid for and without a ranking; RiverFlows appears in it transparently (as of June 2026).
  • Indicative prices: €3,000–€8,000 (one source), €8,000–€20,000 (multiple sources with a data model), €20,000+ (enterprise).
  • Licences: Power BI Pro costs €12.10 per user per month when paid annually, excl. VAT (Microsoft, 2026).
  • Be wary of proposals that start with visuals: eighty percent of the work sits in the data model.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Power BI agency in the Netherlands?

There is no such thing as a blanket answer. Choose on fit: does the agency cover the whole journey (sources, data model, visualisation, management), do the model and workspace live in your environment, and are prices transparent? Microsoft's official partner directory is a good starting point alongside this overview.

Is this overview sponsored or paid for?

No. The listings are not paid for, there is no ranking and the agencies appear alphabetically with descriptions taken from their own websites (as of June 2026). RiverFlows appears in the list itself and we state that explicitly.

What does having a Power BI dashboard built cost?

Indicatively €3,000–€8,000 for a single source, €8,000–€20,000 for multiple sources with a data model and €20,000+ for enterprise custom work, plus €12.10 per user per month for Power BI Pro licences (Microsoft, 2026). Work out your own situation with our free Power BI cost calculator.

What should I watch out for in the quote?

Three things: whether the data model and source connections are explicitly in scope, whether the dashboard is built in your environment (ownership), and whether there is a management arrangement for when sources change. A low build price without those three gets expensive later.

Wouldn't I be better off starting with Looker Studio for free?

For marketing and web reporting that is often a fine start: Looker Studio is free and strong with Google data sources. For financial and operational steering across multiple sources, Power BI wins on data modelling. The honest comparison is in Looker Studio vs Power BI.
